Job description
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to make parts.
We are looking for a successful experienced machinist with the ability and knowledge to perform the following:
read the general dimensions on customer/internal drawings.
measure parts to print specifications and make necessary adjustments.
measure coolant concentration and fill machine fluids to proper level.
operate inspection equipment specific to job requirements.
operate 2 of 3 CNC-machine interfaces (Fanuc, Siemens or Haas).
install and touch off grinding wheel.
use work shifts inputs in the operator interface to decrease set up time between jobs when applicable.
back off tools and ‘dial in’ for setup.
measure all part features required (radii, lengths, steps, etc.)
Understand thermal expansion effects on part size and compensate accordingly to achieve final part geometry requirements.
GD&T certified (base level: ASME Y14.5-2009 standard, Tec-ease)
